1020mm diameter vortex that stands 1450mm high.
These vortex units have traditionally been used to aid pond filtration. Made from high quality GRP fibre glass. They are installed before your multi bay filter system and generally work best if they are gravity fed. The principle on which they work is, the flow of water comming from the pond is slowly spun to create a vortex, before the pond water is passed on to other filter bays. Any solid organic waste will be caught in this vortex where it can easily be purged down to waste(drains, sumps, etc). A correctly installed vortex will remove the majority of solid waste from your pond water before it is travels into your pond filter. This has the effect of greatly reducing the ammount of cleaning required in your multi bay filter. Also keeping your filter relatively free from dirt will better maintain your filters efficiency. This vortex is supplied with, but not fitted with, a 2" discharge valve for purging, and a 4" radial connector for connecting pipework into the vortex. Larger valve sizes can be supplied at additional cost if required. Holes for the radial connector and the discharge vavle need to be drilled. This makes the unit very versatile and suitable for most installations.
